That's what a server is like.
A server is really just a computer that's been set up to deliver
its contents over the Internet to the people that come its way.
For example, if you want to go to the website mywebsite.com, the
individual webpages that make up that website are saved as files

Not Guilty
We receive such a tremendous amount of unsolicited commercial
email (spam) in our In-Box every day, we can certainly
understand why some people become "Anti-Spam" crusaders. Since
the majority is sent with phony return addresses, it is
virtually impossible to track them down. While there are ways to
find out where it originated, it is usually an exercise in
futility, as most come from professional spam houses who own
their own servers, and aren't about to shut themselves down.
Most people ...

Copyright (c) 2008 Ed Opperman
In short, an email header trace is the act of taking an incoming email, locating its header information, then analyzing said information to determine the email's origins. Put simply, you are trying to find out where the email came from.
Though tracing an email's header is helpful in identifying an email's sender, it typically only yields information pertaining to the author's ISP - meaning that you can only get a circle on a map of a location approximating the ...

The Basics Of Bayesian Spam Filtering
Bayesian spam filtering has become a popular way to distinguish between legitimate emails and illegitimate spam emails, through a process that uses Bayesian statistical methods. It filters emails by classifying documents into categories. Based on the contents of the message in your email, the Bayesian spam filters calculate the probability of the message being a spam. They are much more robust than the normal content based filters, and their anti spam approach hardly has false ...

Playing to win - how to find the best gaming laptop
Finding the best gaming laptop can be very frustrating at times.
In fact, finding the best of any computer related products can
be frustrating because the technology field is so fast paced.
One thing is for sure that whatever is top of the line today
most assuredly will not be in the top in a couple of months.
As I said, the pace of technology is simply astounding. And it
can also get pretty frustrating if you just bought what you
thought was the king of gaming notebooks, only to have a ...

Getting Wireless Set Up with Windows Operating System
It was supposed to be so easy, wasn't it? Windows and easy in
the same sentence !! Sometimes, for some reason, Windows just
doesn't want to play ball. Here's a quick guide to what to do
when you've plugged in all your wireless equipment but it's not
connecting as it should.
Insert the CD
It's not enough to just plug in your wireless card the first
time you use it -- you need to put in the CD it came with and
install the drivers. If you've already done that and there's
still nothing happening, ...

Make Your Own E-book!
If you have a newsletter or knowledge you wish to share with
others, you might think about making your own ebook.
First of all, for those who might not know, an ebook is
electronic publication that people can download as one file and
later read, just like a book on their own computer.
There are some standards for making ebooks. I think that two
most popular types of ebooks are ebooks with an exe extension
and with a pdf extension. I've made my ebook in exe format.
Why should you make your ...

Hardly a day goes by when you don't hear about a computer virus
in the news or from someone you know. As a matter of fact, there
are well over 8,000 active computer viruses in the world in any

The majority of computers will catch a virus through an e-mail

E-mail SPAM
It absolutely amazes me how many people over-react to receiving

What is this obsession...this preoccupation with SPAM?
Where are our priorities?
When it comes to SPAM, many of us are ready to support the
severest anti-SPAM legislation. Yes, we want to lock up all the

inviting the government to get involved with anything is a

Why do we hate spam so much?
Why do we hate spam so much? By Linda Landry (c)
Everyone agrees that spam is BAD! We obviously hate it because
we named it SPAM. The garbage lunch meat packed in a can and
made from leftover animal parts; the next thing to waste! Yes, I
agree it is annoying to have your electronic mail box filled
with unsolicited mail. But isn't that what the delete key is
for? Once you eliminate the unwanted item, it is as if it never
existed. So why do we get so upset? Is it because we get
unnecessary mail ...

Wireless Encryption and Security Threats
The following are the items most often at risk.
* Thieves can steal your sensitive personal and business data.
* Harmful viruses and worms can infiltrate your network, even

If you don't want your network to fall victim to snooping or
people 'borrowing' your bandwidth, then you're going to need to

How Do Wireless Networks Work?
Wireless networks work using radio waves instead of wires to
transmit data between computers. That's the simple version. The
big advantage of WiFi is its simplicity. You can connect
computers anywhere in your home or office without the need for
wires. The computers connect to the network using radio signals,
and computers can be up to 100 feet or so apart. If you're

In many instances you will want to put your email address on
your website, even if you provide a form as a contact method.
This is useful because it increases the number of ways that
someone can contact you. Why is that important? Because
presumably if you have a website you are attempting to
communicate with the world - and communication goes both ways.
If you have a commercial site then the answer should be obvious
- someone may want to purchase something.
Another reason to put an email ...
